James811 and Pandyboy yes its a part of a fishing reel, BUT SmokeyDave bang on the money with reel mount or bracket
As smokey got it bang he gets the 2 Obelisco's.

I must say though that it is a well known fact that the first fishing reels made, were really put together from parts of old portable tv aerials. Honest!
