Yep, there has been two occasions recently where fairly new people have been involved in a pass and failed to send their share.
Sadly this reflects badly and makes people very hesitant to take part again, I think the general feeling was for any new swaps etc to have a requirement of 100 posts and six months membership to the forum, the idea being we get to know everyone a lot better (also helps in the task of choosing which smokes to send) and stops people from just signing up, grabbing sticks and dropping off the planet.
Unfortunately even though most peoples intentions are honourable, it only takes one bad egg to spoil an omelette.

I can see your point - I mean, we have to share a common decency, we put our trust in each other and make that first commitment - It would seem stupid to have trust thrust upon you that
you simply can't sustain. I am a newbie on this forum as you know, and I'm quite happily prepared to trade or bomb the few sticks I have not only because it's fun but we also get a taste of
the world!
I hope one day soon, that too can become indeed as you put it - " A good egg, "
It is a shame that the majority of people pull their weight, though in a house of cards it only takes one card to not perform and the entire structure collapses. I think UKCF has one of the best rules and regulations of any forum I've ever been a member of.
