  • Is my tubed cigar OK to smoke?

    Hey,
I smoke cigars rarely but whenever i do it is a real treat and only smoke the best.
    I was given a 'Forbidden' cigar by a friend 7 months ago, 2 things;
    1) does anyone know anything about these cigars? it looks very posh
    2) is it ok to smoke? it hasn't been in a humidor for the last 7 months but is in its plastic case that it came in. The case looks pretty airtight and it even has a wax seal. What do you think?

    Many thanks,
    Sam

        Hi Sam,

        Does it look like this:
        http://www.ecigardepot.com/Misc Pics/forbiddenx_cigar.gif

If it is an Arturo Fuente Forbidden Opus X Cigar then is it quite a sought after non-Cuban. Whether it is actually a good smoke may be very debatable.

Any cigar that has not been stored properly for 7 months runs the risk of being trash.

What do you normally smoke, what do you consider 'the best'.

The only real thing to do is put it in a humidor (at the lower end of the humidity range), leave it for 3-6 months and fire it up, soon find out if you like it.

...and just encase you were wondering you cannot sell it on this site.

Hi there,Thanks for the response. I can't find any pictures of the cigar but the one you showed is a smaller version of mine. Why is it sought after? I think my friend bought it from harrods.I normally smoke h upmann magnum 50's I wad hoping that since it was in a decent tube it would be good to smoke.

Sought-after as it looks to be a limited edition.

The tube may or may not have preserved it.

Give it some recovery and light it up.

Problem is that I don't have a humidor because when I smoke I buy a cigar and smoke that same day. I might give it a go anyway. Why can't it be sold on here?
