Does anyone actually have one of those poker tool things and do they work?
I have one too....great device. Really works well. Saved many a plugged stick. They work best if you test-draw before you light up so you can skewer it for a day or two to allow a cannel to form through the centre after you take the skewer back out

They aren't worth the money or effort ..... As from NOW, I think I agree with you Puff. No more Divinos, well apart from the one or two I've got left and the 05 on Simon gave me.
Not often you "cock up" mate! ...... True. My (Chris's really) trusty crochet hook has always stood me in good stead. 'Sept wi' Divinos you don't get much of a clue from the pre-draw. An' it's only with a bit of proddin' that you suss it's it's plugged at the head an' not at the foot, an 'cos by that time yer've already lit the bugger, it's a bit too late to consider putting it but in the humi with a skewer up it's jacksy for smokin' later. But we live an' learn!
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!
I hate plugged cigars. I too have tried poking something up them etc or gently massaging the tight area with my hands but as much as I hate doing it, sometimes you just have to admit defeat and put them out.
Has anyone ever sent a plugged stick back for a refund or replacement?.
A couple of times I've sent whole boxes back. Both were from the dreaded 2000... Upmann lonsdales & Partagas lonsdales. All brick hard and almost every one I tried was plugged. In frustration I clipped every single Upmann, complained to Gesto and was quickly refunded....
Not sure if related to this thread or not but my last 2 Trinidad Reyes from the box of 12 i bought a few months were really difficult to smoke, a very tight draw and the one i had last night looked liked a burst matress when i got 2/3 of the way through it.Any ideas wether it was a plugged cigar or my nurturing of them?
Can't comment on that Panda, I love the T' Reyes, one of my only 'small, go to smokes'.
Never had a problem with construction since '05 & have had 4 cabs since then the last being '09.
Trinidad have never been a "straight out of the box smoke IMHO" so perhaps a bit of patience is called for....

I know...just bought 'em - gotta smoke 'em NOW!
Never had a problem with them before until the last 2 from the bottom of the cab, not sure if its me or the cigars to be honest, i have tried other from the same humidor and they seemed ok.
