hello,
I hope you can help me, I'm a complete cigar novice and could do with some sound advice.
I've inherited a humidor box with approx. 40 sealed cigars in it, and have no idea of its combined value or how to go about selling it. It was my grandfather's and although I have no idea of the age of the cigars I would guess they are approx. 20-40 years old. I am aware, however, that the cigars will not be perfect because the humidifying element of the box will not have been used for some time. The box also contains a boxed metal cigar cutting device (I think!), a small 'bolivar' plastic encased blade, and the original leaflet explaining the humidor box use.
The wooden box has the following written on the inside of the lid:
El Rey Del Mundo Flor De Lancha
Rafael Gonzalez Temple Hall
Bolivar
Fine cigar humidor selection
The box, which seems like it maybe contained more cigars at one time, contains a selection of approx 40 cigars of different sizes and makes, nearly all of which are either sealed in their original wrappers or in screw-top tubes (5 are in tubes)
the names and quantities on the cigars/seals are: napolean marshal (3, tubed), Don John brown (1), Justus van maurik regentes (1, tubed), Ormond Jubilee sumatra extra (2), velasques (1), havana bouquet (3), Lilly (1), Grandee (10), napolean (5), henri wintermans (7), panama (3) and a few sealed but unnamed cigars.
I realise if this is a 'selection' box it probably isn't worth much, but any input would be gratefully received! I am guessing I should just put something like this on ebay/preloved?
best wishes
Alex
