    Grrrrrrrrrr .... Recharged crystals on Tuesday. Mould on Friday.

    Re-charged the Tuppadore humidifier with new crystals Tuesday evening. 70 on the button all looking great. Went to my SCdlH El Principe box this morning .... horror .... top and bottom layers peppered with white, cotton like fungus. Fortunately, nothing near the foot of any cigars, and I've wiped it all off and stacked the smokes on my desk to air a bit.

    Will now have to go through and inspect every box in the tup .... well, after I've smoked one of these ElPs first .... frustrating hobby this!

        Are your tupps airtight, mine have looseish lids so have some airflow. I also suffered some very quick mould with airtight tupps in the past.

          They were loose. But I fitted some draught seal last year .... though I doubt it's airtight. Checked all the boxes now. RASCC and JL PCs also affected, but only minor .... rest all appear clean.

            Monk's absolutely correct when he describes mould as 'quick'. I smoked a RASCC from my box last week and there were no signs. It seems to appears from nowhere very rapidly.
