anyone had any experience with selling cigars in the uk?
i have been debateing adding a cigar section to my retail site
wondered if anyone knew the sort of markup before i contacted H&F?

Hi, I've been looking into this quite a lot over the past couple of years - just trying to get the appropriate capital in place. (One of these years - as I say almost every year...)

Drop H&F an email, they'll give you the rough details upfront I suspect. I've only been in contact with Tor so far, but all the paperwork is in Plymouth (so can't give you an accurate response). Suffice to say, if you want to be reasonably competitive with the likes of smokeymo then your markup isn't likely to be massive. That's one of the reasons I'm now in the process of beginning to import - that, and it's far more interesting trying out all the unkown cigars along the way trying to find a winner. Found two lines so far... hopefully will get at least one in by the end of the summer (just in time for a launch party!)
