Aye, indeed it is. Keeping a diary & spread sheet helps me, surprising what just a one liner can bring back to your recall, when you smoked it, who was with you & the ocassion.

Hm I really should do that too Simon, good thinking. Stick it on Google docs and you'll have access to it anywhere.

I did this when in Cuba last, but due to a HDD failure I lost the work.

That's what I try to do with my blog, which is why it mostly isn't that interesting to read.
I've got a file on Google Docs for when I get new sticks in which I put date and box code on. Helpful for keeping track.

I'm keeping a spreadsheet too; nothing fancy just cigar name, where I bought it, price and my rating.
This is updated whenever I put something new in the humi so I can keep track of what is what.

This may seem slightly odd but if I'm enjoying a good Cuban, I take a picture of it and me and annotate the photograph. That's how I remember the moment, and how I remember cigars I like.

I remember about 4 years ago maybe, I cant remember the website for the life of me, but there was a program available to download, which I did. It was in a spreadsheet form...and basically column A had literally every cigar known to man...next to it, all the usual measurements and the such, and then enough space to be able to write your own comments and price and the such. If I remember rightly, it had some nifty search options and i THINK it had the option to have your humidor, with all the cigars currently based in there, and when you noted you smoked one if would drop the quantity down.

Anyone remember or know of this at all still?

Unfortunately it was on a now dead laptop, so lost all trace of it...but for what it was, it was an piece of software!

Glad that I'm not the only anorak running a spreadsheet and taking notes! One tab of mine has prices from many of the major vendors and I have another for my stock - smoked and yet to be flamed! And there's another tab with a bit of a wishlist on it...
