  • Cuban Shopping List

I have a cousin going to Cuba in May and have been compiling my shopping list for her. I'm looking at giving her about 150CUC. So using the price list on the site, after much deliberation I've come up with:

    Montecristo No. 5 x10
Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills x10
    Cohiba Siglo I x5
    Trinidad Robusto T x3

What do you guys think (I tend to stick with the shorter sticks becuase of time restraints) and what would be your choice for 150CUC? Also does anyone know if I'd be able to get Trinidad's as singles - I think that 6 is the smallest pack.

For some reason the Trinidad Robusto T's just don't do it for me. personally I Would rather buy a few Reyes instead. Better value.

I have read good things about them and wanted something I've never tried, but I'll see if I can find reviews of the Reyes. Thanks for the pointer

D.C. I never saw Monte No5's being sold as singles, but the rest shouldn't be a problem. I brought a single Trini Robusto T & a Trini Petit Robusto LE 2010 (expect they'd be up your street), haven't tried them yet so can't comment.
One tip decide if you really want your courier to just buy what's on your list or let her have some lee way. After the first or second shop she's likely to get fed up. You could always say what ever cash she has left after buying the ones she can find; just ask her to chose some small to med size cigars from Monte, R&J or Trini range. But niot Mini's or Puro's unless you actually like them. That's what I saw most non-smokers buying for friends & rel's. .

Would tend to agree with Jacob on the Reyes & would also swap out the Siglo 1's for 2's.
          A far better smoke IMHO.
          Puff.
