Well as I type away on my iPhone I have a trine Reyes in my grasp smoothly burning away.......
Only an inch in but she's very mellow indeed... Wish me luck!

R&J no. 2 is always a staunch ally, thus far I've never found one which disappoints...what a rarity and a proud boast!

Well guys the RyJ PC just didn't do it for me at all, 2/3 tasteless with last 1/3 quite bitter not what I expected, mind you it didn't exactly get much settling or aging so could be that I guess

I smoke the RyJ cedros no.3 & the por Larranaga petit coronas for a short smoke, usual story though, they are both better with a couple of years on them..but I've never had them any older than that to say if they get better.
No laughing but on a nice warm afternoon a cedros no.3 & a can of Tizer goes down a treat!

PLPC's definitely get better for at least 5 years.

I've never tried the P.L. petit coronas, what are they like?

                    Hi Philip,
I'm not good at reviews & some may disagree but I find these little cigars very easy to smoke, excellent draw at all stages with for a small cigar three distinct phases, earth & leather on the initial phase developing into a lovely creamy smoke for the most part but picking up some great spicy notes at the finish,, not to heavy a cigar, no working for your enjoyment. I smoke relatively quickly but these don't seem to overheat or get too harsh, I have had some new ones that gave a tad of ammonia in the final third but they were pretty fresh, it went with ageing.
I've read some people have had inconsistancies in the petits but I've never had one to complain about & I can't say that about many brands now.

Thank you very much, that's very helpful. Any advice on necessary ageing etc?

Partagas Petite Corona Especiales, good value and often better than Party Mille Fleurs
ALso Partagas Aristocrats, though slightly smaller RG than Mareva

Hands down Trinidad Reyes (or in fact Coloniales too, both could be considered "marevas" I think) or Cohiba Siglo II for me

Just finished the JL PC, tasted lovely but my god was it tight! Stopped it being relaxing but lasted for ever not sure it was a good compromise, is this normal? Not sure I've found the dip. 4 replacement yet.....
