  • Long Filler cigars?

Should the long filler cigars be just that?
ie. the rolled single leaves 'end to end' on the cigar? I thought this was the case but my own eyes have told me I'm wrong!

Think the Glenmorangie thing is in the wrong thread, n'es pa?

Regarding long filler, essentially you have it. Not shredded tobacco but whole or substantial portions of the leaf rolled into a cigar with the stem end of the leaf orientated to the cap end that you draw on. You set light to the tip of the leaf, hence the reason the cigar gets stronger as you smoke down the leaf, more flavour near the stem/stalk.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

      Yup, what T said.

If you cut it open and it is in bits it is probably not log filler. Sometimes good way to spot fakes.

Probably worth remembering that a stick that has dried can disintegrate some and may be in bits when cut open.

If you watch a cigar being rolled you can see it is basically a bunch of big leaves.

Indeed, apologies. My only excuse is that I am wildly hungover.
