what ring gauge do you smoke?

from my initial sample purchase to start of my new humidor i had a mixture
(only a few left need to cut down on smokeing or win the lottery)

i find the larger ring gauge cigars give you more flavour than some of the smaller ones as they dont last very long or you dont get asmuch smoke from my finding it seems the larger the cigar the more depth of flavour there is .

i grew up smoking coronas but over the last few years have gravitated to larger r/g's.

for me a good corona is still as good as it gets !

yes think ill stick to 40+ the smaller ones 30s burn to fast and is like smokeing a cigarette no time to taste the cigar

My nose loves the lanceros. Such good aroma from thinner gauge, that can sometimes be lost in a thicker cigar

my preference is normally somewhere in the 40's and I am beginning to think a lot of sticks would be better in this kind of range that the fat fvckers that are all too common at the moment.

Yeah, seems to be too much of a trend towards discontinuing the smaller gauge wonders like the Petit Punch in favour of larger shite and LEs and REs at inflated prices. I suppose if the market will sustain it then it will just carry on...

I like robusto sizes, 50 rg, suits me well.

NCs usually tend to be 50+ rg, imo there making up a lack of flavour with size!

I agree, are there any lancero NCs? I bet they'd be shite!

Not a fan of anything too thin (less than 40/38) and 54 and up is a bit large, however they all have there place and i have a pretty varied humidor probably averaging out round 48.

Mainly been smoking 40's & 42's as that's what came back from Cuba with me. Not yet tried anything larger than a 46.

Just to buck the trend, although I will smoke 50/52 I do not go for larger. I have plently in the 42-48 range and a further selection down to 28! Rafel Gonzalez Slenderella is 7 7/8" x 20 & is a very flavoursome smoke. The trick is to smoke them slowly, preferably indoors or in a sun trap, out of the breeze. Then the delicate flavours aren't lost. Mind you compared to the LCG No3 & No 4, the Slendy is a bit of a powerhouse.
I am totally against this mass consolidation of Cuban vitolas, down from thousands 50yrs ago to probably a few of hundred today. Try to stay open to all shapes, sizes & strengths & you will enrich your smoking career.

Never were wiser words spoken, muchacho, 'cept when me pappy, Pappy Coro said the exact same thing...but he was talking about the ladies!

And he was talking about pokin' BB, not smoking.
