  • The cigar you're always meaning/wanting to try...

... but for some reason just never seem to get round to.

With me it's the Punch Royal Seleccion No. 11. I'm a big Punch fan, and the reviews for the 11 are pretty good. (Not seen one on here though). But, when singles time comes around, I always seem to forget it. Maybe it's because of the name, or maybe it's because I've some Punch Punch? Dunno just never seems to happen.

The Cohiba Espl?ndidos is another one .... but I forget that deliberately on account of the price.

I'm always wanting to try another Cohiba Siglo IV because the last one I had was the best cigar I ever smoked.

Unfortunately I haven't had anything I needed to celebrate enough to justify buying one, but if money was no object I would smoke these all the time.

Had a couple of the Punch, can be bloody good.

Esplendido has never blown me away, worth a go one or twice though.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Simon PM me your addy and I'll send one off to you. It'll be young though.

Esplendido is a nice cigar, not amazing, typical Cohiba almond flavour etc.

Cohiba Sublime or Reserva for me.

Any of the large Opus X Fuente Fuente or a La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial ...

A mid 60 - mid 70's HDM Churchill, my Dad's favourite smoke - it was the smell of these that got me hooked.....

I've always fancied a Lanceros I must say. And one of those LE Partagas Piramides would be very nice too.

The thing is there are so many delicious Havanas out there that the really expensive ones are just not THAT much better than the very good moderately priced cigars. It's like fancying Joanna Lumley when you've got Rachel Weisz waiting for you at home.

                It's just like that.
