  • COSA H&F - alternatives?

Anyone know of a more bar/pub orientated COSA list?

I've seen the H&F listings, but surely there has to be more bars and pubs with more modest covered COSA?

I agree. I know of at least 2 in Kent that have heated outdoor smoking areas but aren't mentioned on the COSA list. Hella annoying
I'm still waiting for the whiskey to whisk me away
And I'm still waiting for the ashtray to lead me astray

      hey dave,
i had to do my homework & research myself for my own area here in northern ireland (belfast and county antrim)!!!! TBH, i found the H&F list out dated and, to be frank, crap!!!!

here's my results, for cigar smokers in northern ireland!!! i suggest you do the same for your own area:

this will be a great help for folk visiting your neck of the woods, as well as giving you an excuse to go out visiting pubs and restaurants with a cigar!!!!

      all the best, pal!!!

if you are ever in the Midlands, you would be most welcome at The Prince of Wales. We are in Moseley about 10 mins south of the city centre. We have several heated outdoor areas and can seat about 250 people! As well as 10 real ales, 40 malts and 30 deluxe rums and a cocktail bar, we also sell cigars! I would be happy to have a smoke with any UKCF member any time. Keith

              Same question.

Second the hopeless listing comment. Looked through every place mentioned in Edinburgh online for a herf tonight. Venues are mentioned but no information is listed. What's the point?

I've had cigar friendly listed for venues in Kent only to find when I've phoned them that the information is quite out of date

I would imagine that the H and F list is simply a list of COSA's where H and F sourced products are sold, as opposed to a definitive list of all external smoking areas in the UK ....or am I missing something?

Might be a good project for the community here to create a UK map (some sort of google map driven thing or Wiki page) of all known spots (including H and F data) and relevant comments/experiences.

                Wadda you think Deano/tekweb guys?

                  Hi Chaps,

The "Where to Smoke" function on the H&F site has only been up an running in its current form for a few months and is still an ongoing project. As a starting point for the COSA listing we took all venues with an outside smoking area that had placed orders with us in the last 6 months.

No doubt some of the information is a little out of date, but we constantly updating and amending the list so please feel free to pass any suggestions onto us at info@cigars.co.uk

As much information as possible, including pictures, would be welcome.

As for herfs etc, we list all cigar events in the "upcoming events" pages rather than under specific COSA pages, in an attempt to make them easier to find.

                  All the best,

                  Jimmy

                    hey jimmy,
it's been a while from i checked out the h&f list, great job there for northern ireland!!!!

if you get a moment, please check out my list, i compiled from personal 'research', lol:

there's a few good places you don't have listed!!!! also, one point that i want to raise, perhaps you could pm me when you get the chance!!! the ballygally castle hotel you've listed (located on map in the wrong place), but i was informed that it is a strictly, no smoking hotel!!!! i pass it regularly and mostly i see cigarette smokers standing outside, without, heaters or many seats!!!! does this location sell cigars and have facilities to smoke them?

                    cheers,

                    alex
