I've just been gifted these by a mate that travels to the Philippines on a regular basis. I'm slowly educating him in the world of cigars as he's a recent convert (Not that I know much either).
"ALHAMBRA Double Coronas"
Their blurb on the 3 Pack: Alhambra cigars have been hand rolled since 1898 and are still hand rolled to this day (Look like short filler to me). The rich earth and warm climate of certain parts of the Philippines are ideal for tobacco growing. Towards the North of the main island of Luzon lies the Cagayan Valley, the country's finest tobacco growing region. It is here that all Alhambra cigars are grown (Wasnt aware you could grow "cigars") as the regions dark leaf is regarded as one of the worlds mildest & most flavorful. This is why Alhambra has the reputation for being the worlds mildest cigar (mildest yet most flavorful?).
From their website : Wrapper -- Java, Indonesia ,very popular, used in some of the best cigars.
Filler-- Isabela, Philippines. Philippine tobacco has the best burning quality of any tobacco in the world and produces a white ash.
Pretty hefty claims. These went straight in the freezer and are not going anywhere near my humis, ever. LOL. Please someone say these are worth lighting up, even just for fun?
