  • Cohiba Siglo IV box

Hello, and very good early morning.
I came across this siglo IV all authenticity checks are matching uv etc. but box and ribbon I am not sure about. Haven’t smoke it yet either. What is your opinion? See pictures below.

    Hey Oto

TLU code was used up to before March 22. So that's a bit odd, but it is close. Can't read the serial number but for box age should be starting 000053 to 000057 or thereabouts.

The golden question is how do they smell and what's the source?

Box and ribbon look ok from photos, what looks off to you?
    .--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

The serial is 000052707991 not sure if the warning sticker is right plus just tahino head print on the side is not perfect but what is in Cuba. They smell nice in my opinion. The source is (private collection of third party) but had already two fake boxes one anniversary55 and Novedosos. So trying to see if the whole lot is dodgy or just few. I can show you full box of siglo VI too.

The box stamping looks a bit rough tbh. Above all - if you doubt the source - Do. Not. Touch.

They had fakes in the collection then stay away, no matter how tempting it is.

Same. If other fakes I'd avoid.

The Taino head on the second pictures does look bad. As does the green colour of the serial label. And I agree the warning label print looks off - is the box supposed to be bought in Cuba?

They might smell nice. Do they smell Cohiba sig IV?!

Personally I wouldn't go near it.

I believe so, at least it should look so, as in Cuba. Yes, as I compared with other boxes the green on the seals is very bright but under UV light all legit. The Lanceros green looks good. I will do a good pictures for consideration. Also never seen transit seal being so exposed, normally is completely covered by the green seal, but please correct me if wrong. All boxes having same issue of exposed transitorio seal, so that could be another tell tell sign

Also on fake subject anybody having belicosos finos 2019? I have box and noticed golden dust on the bands, embossed dots can be scrapped off by finger nail. The box is EMS but wont close fully, as cigars would not belonged there. Any experience?

Usually not exposed at all. So yes that's another potential tell.

If you trusted the source there wouldn't be the doubts! Best of luck with it!

This was a very good learning opportunity and experience to see on my own how the fakes are sophisticated these days. very expensive experience but well worth it,
will get my money back. Thank you for your opinions.

Got a picture of the shield in the middle of the seal under UV? Nice big image?

FFS I'm not an expert but the stamp and band really don't look bad. This is why I only buy from a vendor or with guys I really trust. I'd go mad trying to Columbo this
