  • Fat and skinny

So you are taking with you a fat cigar say 52RG and a skinny, say 38RG for a day out. How do you carry them both for safety?

I tend to carry them in a small zip bag otherwise the skinny will rattle!

Tubos if I’m going out or risk disaster. I have a case or three but prefer tubos.

Yeah but I end up with two empty tubes to carry around all day. And I don't have a tube that will fit a fat cigar. Maybe that's what I need to do though.

With the bag I don't have anything to carry after. Do have to be careful though...

Or perhaps get a 54RG case and wrap the skinny for safety. And live with having to carry empty case around.

Today's packaging. Summers day, cant even feel I'm carrying it. Pockets full of tubes no good.

I thought this thread was going to be about me and the wife

Obvious answer here is to employ somebody to follow you around carrying them for you.

But if that fails it's sometimes worth keeping the little cardboard boxes cigars are posted in and you can store them in there then dispose of the box when finished.

Well if there’s room for a cigar in the pocket then there’s room for the tubo, no? Much less risk of damage. At least that’s how I see it.

Have you wrapped that Hoyo in a cedar sleeve? Maybe that adds some protection along with the excess bag rolled around.

I reckon you do more smoking whilst out & about than I do so whatever works for you.

This is actually quite genius. They flat pack too.

The idea of a mariachi band following me around carrying a humidor does make perfect sense.

No cedar sleeve. The goal, if poss, is not to have anything bulky after cigar/s are gone.

Today's du depute is small enough it's quite safe. But larger cigars will need some protection.

Forgot I had these. And both collapse a bit after the cigar is gone. But still quite bulky. So thanks for the reminder! 👍🏼

Out of curiosity, when you're out and about what do you do with the ash if you don't have access to an ashtray? I seen you can get small travel ones.

Really depends where I am. Carrying an ash tray is additional bulk, so I don't want to do that if i can avoid it! I've asked and used a saucer or a paper coffee cup. If there's grass I'll stomp the ash into it as its organic!

Cool, you're always out and about, so I wondered what you did.
