Is Importing Cheaper Than buying UK Now?

I used the calculator on the Gov website, which breaks it down like the following

So I added the £63 (Cigars & shipping) to the £173.71 then divided by qty of sticks (25)

Like I say, hopefully this is accurate, unless I've missed something obvious?

Only other thing not listed is the customs handling charge to whoever delivers your parcel (normally about £8-20 depending on handler from memory)

It's not simply cost. Some cigars are not available from UK suppliers.

So I have now received both packages back from the US and Europe. Weirdly enough I ordered 6 single sticks from both but the customs charge from my US package was £72 and the one from Europe was £52. They both had similar size in each as well so I’m a bit stumped as to why they are different.

Well I thought the US one was correct when I calculated. The Europe package is getting delivered tomorrow so I will check to see how they worked it out if it says on the box anywhere. I will post on here when I figure it out.

Here is the customs label from the package from Europe. Will have to try find the one from US to compare
