The supplier must scan when transferring to the final retail outlet. But no scanning necessary when we buy. 2 years to dispose of older untagged stock.

Also likely essential if they do really plan on bringing in that legislation for age restriction. It will certainly drive more profits into the grey market otherwise

The guys who obey the rules will get screwed with extra process and the grey operators will be laughing their asses off taking extra margin and increased demand.
Fucking bureaucrats need to get off their asses and take a real walk down a real street and actually see how the country works.
