  • Habanos (mini) festival coming to the UK June 20-22 2024

Hunters & Frankau and Habanos s.a are delighted to announce that London and the United Kingdom will host a series of Habanos events over the course of t ...

So a mini habanos festival is coming to London and probably virtually to the UK from the article. Probably pricing me out of it. But lets see.

Known collectively as the Habanos World Days, this will be the first time they have been held outside Cuba.

Tickets will be available in March.

Cocktail Party – Thursday 20th June (evening)
Guests will enjoy a classic English garden party with a Cuban twist. Cocktails, Havana cigars, live music and a host of other surprises will be served up, all intended to stimulate the senses, entertain the mind and delight the eye. It will be an evening to celebrate the very best of British and Cuban produce, in the heart of London.

Seminar & Exhibition – Friday 21st June (daytime & evening)
A more studious commencement to day two, with keynote speakers and a round table conference that will include leading industry figures from the UK and Cuba. There will also be an exhibition of Trinidad cigars past and present featuring some of the rarest pieces ever produced by the brand. The winner of the UK ‘Trinidad Perfect Pairing’ competition will also present their Trinidad pairing to the audience.

Later in the day, there will be 55 tasting events held across all parts of the United Kingdom, featuring various Trinidad cigars. This will be a national celebration of the brand and a chance for everyone across the country to join in the fun.

Gala Dinner – Saturday 22nd June (evening)

The Habanos World Days draw to a close in typically lavish style with a gala dinner in spectacular and historical surroundings.

This black tie event will celebrate the launch of the Trinidad Cabildos, and the Trinidad ‘Premier Edition. It will also feature a charity auction as well as one or two surprises for the Habanos passionados lucky enough to secure a ticket.

Apparently includes 5 cigars worth £200 each.

Now who decides what a Trinidad Reyes is worth these days?.....

Shall we start taking bets on the ticket price?

I spoke to James of Surrey Cigars yesterday about this event

He said he had been told that tickets for the gala "were around a thousand pounds" when he was being asked if he was interested in tickets as a retailer. He wasn't given the exact figure, so could very well be higher, like ha_banos had mentioned

Absolutely priced out for this one, I think!

Think most of us will be priced out of this! Expecting it will be industry and YouTube personalities attending. 😂

If Trini event £1,200, Cohiba event £2,000?! If someone gifted me a ticket, I'd go along & smoke one of my Trini Gold label Fundies! That would go down well!
Seriously, £120, I'd go, £200 no thanks. They are supposed to be selling these cigars to you, why should we pay extortionate amounts to try their prouducts?
