  • Boveda v Integra Boost

Been seeing Integra Boost being promoted more recently in the UK as an alternative to Boveda. Having received my first cigar order from a UK retailer with Integra Boost included free instead of Boveda pack, I wonder if anyone’s used them and what people’s experience is compared with Boveda?

Zero experience with them. I've noticed that IB brand their packs for retailers recently. I'll ask young Lewis more about these. I think he distributes these....

I've been tempted. IB certainly seems a more budget friendly option. It's a hard sell though, as much as I want to save a few quid here and there Boveda work great and are protecting hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds worth of my cigars. Seems like the kinda stuff you don't wanna cheap out on!

Are the IB packs rechargeable? If not it's a no brainer.

Funnily enough I've just bought a pack of small 62 4g IB for a small travel humidor at work.
I'll let you know how they perform in due course

Just seen the IB come with a separate indicator card that changes colour when humidity drops. Then, they say, change the pack.

I've got a 55% RH one I bought for drying things out and it seems to work perfectly. When tested RH was bang on 55. They are more of a thick gel than a liquid like Boveda so presume they won't get crystals in and become lumpy like some bovedas have done after a few years. Only time will tell though, I haven't recharged one yet.

Saw the email from Cgars yesterday pushing these. Admittedly its a hard sell. Been recharging my Boveda packs for the last 2 years and also every cigar purchase would yield new ones. So no real reason to buy IB packs!
