I found this old box of cigars in the office the other day, we think they must be at least 70 years old. Can anyone shed some light on them, would they be any good to smoke or should I be putting them in a safe place?

They are probably unsmokable but may have some value to a collector

I think you should send the pic's (including one of of the bottom of the box to Mitchell Orchant of Cgars ltd, customercare@cgarsltd.co.uk
I suspect these are pre-Revolution Cigars & will indeed be of interest to a collector. Mitchell may offer you something direct or offer to put them in his next auction, where you might be suprised to see boxes going for several hundreds pounds+. Unfortuately they haven't been kept in ideal conditions but I think he would still be interested. Some collectors would just like to have them in their collection. I have bought & sold at his auctions & can recommend him to you.

Just thinking might be worth taking some photos for Cuban Cigar Website or something.

I’m more intrigued about finding them in the “office”! How did that happen?!
