  • Where to buy online in the UK

    Hello all, new here.

Just wanted to get some suggestions as to websites you have all used for cigar purchases.

I have been using cgarsltd.co.uk but their prices have shot up and now seem rather expensive compared to other sites.

Just wondering where you all buy from

    Hey there!

Just going off my experience I always look at GQ Tobaccos, Havana House and My Smoking Shop. I have made purchases from all and been happy - as well as quite a few with Cgars myself!

But there are quite few out there and the prices can fluctuate quite a lot between them! Happy hunting!

I'd also add CASC to those other good suggestions.

I don't believe they do any longer? In fact I believe that stopped before Dominique took over?

Worth checking. I checked not too long ago on a whisky. Said they did still on the website too https://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/price_match.php

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Unfortunately cigars are expensive from all UK sources.

Love them or hate the, Cgars has the largest range of cigars in UK. Price match does work, however in some instances they will say they can't price match.

Well at least that sounds more honest.

My wife bought me a box of Siglo II from my smoking shop, yesterday. Quick delivery (arrived lunchtime today), and even chucked a pack of 3 Royal Dutch double filter in as a nice touch (I'll give them to my father in law, as he likes a cheap cigarillo while he's working). Smooth transaction, all sent with two hours of the purchase, good prices, and kept up to date with the delivery. First time she's used them. Seemed to have a good range in stock as well.
Only issue was I saw what looks to be a very small (i.e. miniscule) cigar repair gel blob on the side of one of the sticks and revealed the tiniest of damage to the wrapper, but not a Biggie for me. Probably damaged in transit or something, as the EMS label was on the box, so presumably they've been checked.

Siglo II ~ nice! A collector might grumble about a cracked foot but as a smoker it’s never bothered me. I’ve used mss numerous times & agree they’re an excellent vendor. Enjoy

It was such a minor injury, I personally wouldn't have even bothered trying to correct it

If anything it's the trying to correct it that bothers me!

All Ems boxes are opened and inspected by h&F and usually by the retailer prior to shipping in the UK. Agree a minor crack foot on a smoking box does not need to be glued.

                        Enjoy!

Sounds like a great Christmas treat! Smoking shop is good!

Thank you all for the excellent suggestions.

                            Have any of you used

                            Tobaccoonline.co.uk

Their prices are excellent but the website is very basic and something is making me think it's not legit

I don’t know them, but personally follow a very simple and very firm rule. Do not buy from an untrusted source. When I say untrusted I mean, unless you REALLY know the source and the care they take in authenticated their supply. Preferably personally know them or they be known to someone you personally know and trust.

If you trawl the forum you’ll see some reputable online merchants that have unwittingly supplied fake Cohiba. Yes they made good to all customers and apologised for their “ignorance”..

Think of this, Cohiba is probably the most counterfeited cigar ever, and that’s back when Sig VI was like £40/£50 and a super premium luxury smoke. How much is a Montecristo no 2 today? Edmundo?

We had to be cautious on the elite stuff previously. Nowadays I’m even suspicious buying regular production HdM because it’s become very viable to counterfeit and make a fortune on any line.
