  • Non burning cigar

Absolutely will not burn. This cigar just would not ignite, smoke or stay lit. Just generates a hard coal like structure on the end. Cut it down several times trying to reach a bit of burnable leaf but ended up ditching.
Tasted like burning plastic. Horrid experience.
    Anyone ever got similar?
    Cause?

      Can’t you see the picture?

I've had fire proof wrappers and had the hard ash but very few. Usually though can burn through the hard ash and carry on ok. Never had a complete non burner. Know the year of the cigar out of interest?

          Hopefully just a one off.....

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I’ve had a few that are hard burners or produce the hard coal but cutting down or a good concentration of lighter burns through the issue.
This one however was the entire stick.
Possible leaves that had not been fermented properly?
Other cigars (even the same type) in the humidor were fine.
Was just wondering if it was a thing with a known cause.

I remember having that once with a JLP. Only one out of a 'box' of 25 though, but I have found them a bit hit and miss on construction and flavour, trying them over a number of years of age. I prefer Quintero now as a budget Cuban
