Whilst waiting for a brake sensor to be fitted to the Jag, I walked down to my local H&F Coomfortable places to smoke - The Captain's Club, Christchurch, on the River Stour.
First disappointment was that all the out door tables had No Smoking signs on them. As they did actually have a Havanos Humi clearly displayed, I asked where I could smoke? Four deck chairs next to the front wall, were the only option. Luckily, a dry & sunny morning so I seated myself & prepared my 1st smoke.
Punch ManTua Italian ER 2018, released 2020. I wondered about smoking this so early as I recall them being quite Punch'y but it was fine, infact mild to med for the last 1/4.
Still no call saying the car was ready so regretting not bringing another stick, I made an unusual decision to try one of theirs. Picked the HUHC, Banos's fav smoke 😃. Just slightly firmer than I keep mine but acceptable. Punched & lit, plenty of smoke & a very decent flav, to match with my 2nd coffee ☕️, which the waitress asked if I would like another, just when I was thinking of putting my Cigar down to go & get one.
Service good & friendly, cigars -small but acceptable selection if you get caught without but no b problem smoking your own. I have smoked here a couple of tines before & there was a larger smoking area. I guess if it's not used &/or the staff get complaints, the smokers get squeezed.
It's a lovely area, the rowing club next door so plenty to watch going on, on tge River, does get very crowded in the summer.
