One must begin by reciting the Five Tenets of The Leaf. Upon your oath to follow the Five Tenets you shall trek by foot to the zenith of the Turquino Peak, Cuba. It will be treacherous and not every adventurer makes it to the top, or back to the bottom either. You will meet a shadowy, some say smokey figure near the top... You will be asked to undertake a number of deadly challenges to prove your worthiness. If you survive you will wait on the peak for a full moon.... That is when the PM God Deano will appear to bestow upon you the greatest privilege any human can hope to attain...
Some people here said they got pm privileges after 100 posts and 3 months of activity... Do not believe them!

It is, just be a regular participant and “don’t be a d**k”. I’m absolutely not suggesting you are, just a good description of how to be!
You’ll see the general spirit of everything that goes on here - inquisitiveness, helpfulness and good humour.
I was a complete novice when I joined, I can safely say there are people on here I’d call friends and even those who I’ve not “friend-zoned”, I know I’d have a wonderful time with.
People like people like them, as the saying goes and cigars is the common past time we all share! Enjoy your time here!

I've been on forums before where you can hardly ask a question without being made to feel stupid. I can respect the reservation behind opening up certain parts of the forum to everyone. I just wanted to ask because there wasn't any clear information anywhere about it.
Quickest way - post about your own smokes; PeeJay posts his everyday, so just reply 'great choice John' everytime; each time someone tries humour reply 'I've never laughed so much'; anybody who posts about anything they've bought, reply 'incredible buy [insert name]'; ask a question every day about anything ands then follow-up to responses with 'thanks [insert name], that was really useful' (do this for every answer); when you buy , say, a box of cigars, don't post a picture of the box, post a picture of each cigar as a separate purchase over 25 days; ask about cigar shops in different places in the world regardless of the fact you have no intention of going there; ask complicated questions about humidors and Bovida packs and query the details of every response repeatedly; ask if people have tried particular cigars (make up names if necessary); ask Deano every day about PMs.
If you follow this advice you will easily reach 100 posts in a copule of weeks.
There is of course the three month rule too. However, if you do all the above, Deano will think it must have taken you three months to do it! Result.

Ask away (after using search first to see if it’s already been answered!)!
