Hey guys, I’m sure someone on here will have a solution to this.
My humidor seal isn’t the best, one of those big Habanos cabinets filled with 65% Boveda with wind strip seals around the door.
Generally it’s ok, hovers between 61% in the summer to around 68% in the autumn when it was wet but heating wasn’t on. Now the heating is on it’s holding a steady 65-66%.
The main issue I had was the top shelf in the autumn could get up to the lower 70’s. I thought about maybe throwing some cat litter in a dish and putting it on the top shelf in the spring if the same thing happens again but is there a better solution?
Surely there has to be, I thought about replacing the 65 Boveda with 62’s in those months but when they’re plump and full I don’t think they absorb much?
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
