No need to go richy rich, just got to be the right wavelength 😎 my lamp 10$ lamp works perfect.
To see the tricky small numbers embedded in one of the leafs in the seal you need a very strong magnifier - I use a Japanese chissel edge microscope😎

The key thing is it needs to be 365nm UV.

Key technical point here and thanks for pointing it out to everyone man.

I use a pen light from a mate of mine that use them in their bureau for checking banknotes as well. Confirmed that it’s the same wavelength that @ha_banos ; recommended to all 👍🏼

The fake seal looks like this with a gap in the leaves circled red. Its a gap for a number not in the real seal. See image from first post.

It will be interesting to see who else was effected with the stock as from Reddit it seems the supplier was supplying other stores. Makes it so hard now to confidently buy online.

It’s a real shame but it’s the way of the world. Where there is money to be made, some people will cross the line to benefit from it. Counterfeit anything is a problem, to the extent that organised crime gets involved and it becomes very sophisticated.

As ha_banos stated, it was all over reddit then has seemingly become huge. Bondroberts just took anything affected off the site (including some Montecristo Supremos I was trying to sell!). Pretty major now.
