Thanks BB - yes, Book No.2 is in the pipeline, hopeful to publish late next year - may even crowdfund it. Will keep the Forum posted on developments as we go. In terms of other books - there's nothing quite like mine, if I may say so, in terms of cigar stories, but I learned a lot from books like Min Ron Nee's, Theo Rudman's, Simon Chase. In another almighty bout of narcissism, I would also highly recommend Cinco Decadas: The Rise of the Nicaraguan Cigar, which I wrote to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Joya de Nicaragua. You'll struggle to get hold of the coffee table book, but if you log onto www.astoryofresilience.com, you should be able to register to read a 'soft' copy, and it will give you a real insight into how the tobacco world has changed in the last couple of decades, as well as an amazing story of one of the world's great cigar factories. I hope that's helpful.
That is perfect thank you!!

“Life’s too short to drink bad wine or smoke poor cigars”
I am not a regular reader of GQ - but I came across this which was quite this interesting observation piece about how cigars are portrayed in the media these days.
I haven't seen this movie yet but it's on my watchlist.. it is funny how in the US, cigars are shown to be smoke of choice for the bad guy, capitalist or misogynist and how cannabis is almost promoted as an accepted herbal remedy.

Good article, he just missed out Sherlock Holmes, resolving his connudrums with a bowl or two of pipe tobacco.
Simon Bolivar: Liberator of Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru & Venezuela.
So I was wondering if anyone regularly reads any cigar magazines and if there were any recommendations.
I have been occasionally reading Cigar Aficionado (when I can get my hands on a copy) but wondered if there were any others worth reading?
Also, apart from Alexander Grooms new book (on my Wishlist) and Mr Hammond’s hopefully soon to released sequel, I was wondering if there were any new books out there I should keep an eye out for?

I sometimes read Cigar Journal, digital, (less occasionally, Cigar Aficionado) but to be honest I struggle to find the motivation or remember to. It's not like having a magazine on the table to pick up and read.

You can get Cigar Aficionado by subscription but you will probably just get frustrated at reading about all these tempting cigars that you can't lay your hands on.
