In the summer i smoke more cigars walking around the boundary of a cricket pitch than anywhere else

It is a bit unusual to see someone smoking a cigar just in a park or walking around, the image people have of cigars is one of celebration or the high life with brandy after dinner in your Downton Tux, so I guess it would be like walking around sipping Dom Perignon to most people and thus would draw looks as it seems out of place or perhaps showing off. I would take it as a compliment that you are not just another sheep of the masses.

Yeah I guess it is a bit strange seeing someone smoke a cigar nowadays and I shall take it as a compliment then 😀

Ahh but I bet your not the only one there with a cigar on the go so it doesn't look as strange as a 32 year old sat alone in a Pub/Park with a cigar on the go reading a book or watching the world go by whilst you enjoy your hour+ long smoke

Yeah vaping really gets to me too huge cloud of crap but I don't judge people for doing it nor would I look at them with the stink eye that I seem to receive if it was really getting to me I would just move to a different spot out the way of the cloud and smell of twice ripened polished cherry (or what ever crappy name the liquid has lol), I was thinking earlier if it was just me that got this when I smoke outside or if its a thing that happens to us all

I heard this week of the extent of vaping among kids as young as seven, Really scary. At least none of them is on CCs!

Yeah I think it's awful I saw a lad from my sons class smoking one in the town center he's 10 I think it's wrong on so many levels and no one batted an eye lid at it.

It's a good job they aren't on CCs would cost them a fortune haha

Last time I was lighting up a big cigar on my own at the pub a guy said to me either something really good or really bad must have happened. I just said let's hope something really good is about to happen

Personally I’ve almost never received any negativity which has always surprised me. As long as I’m careful to stay away from families with kids feedback is almost always positive.

Regularly get older people telling me they love the smell as it reminds them of a relative now passed usually. In parks I will get a few odd looks but never disgust usually just intrigue.

In beer gardens people often speak to me about it sometimes they think it’s a flash thing but a conversation quickly normally makes them realise you are doing it for your own enjoyment. Most of my annoyance with others come from them wanting to try something I’m already smoking!

Speaking of cool I have a few friends who don't want to smoke cigars with me but also think it's uncool not to want to smoke one so I see a slight panic in their eyes when we head out into the garden and I reach into my pocket. I've stopped smoking with them as I'm the only one in the group, and its not quite the same as with another bunch of friends when we all light up and smoke at the same time.

Yeah I always stay away from people who are there and give them plenty of space but the looks I get are like I have just pulled out a crack pipe and started puffing away lol, I would love for someone to come over and chat about cigars even if they knew nothing about them and I understand that not everyone likes smoking in general but that's my choice I enjoy them and as I often smoke alone its my way of meditation gathering thoughts or even staring blankly into the cosmos.

Never had anyone ask to try something I am smoking and I hope that Never happens because I couldn't let them try it not that I'm a germ freak but I'd rather not suck on a cigar someone else has had their lips around

None of my friends smoke cigars either and I feel like I'm taking up their time whilst I smoke a cigar because even PCs can last me an hour sometimes so unless I'm at home or in their garden I tend not to smoke when I'm with them the only person I actually smoke with on a regular occasion is my Father in law who doesn't smoke them unless I'm with him (my supply) but I don't mind as it's much better to sit and have a chat with a cigar

I generally smoke at home, prefer the peace and relaxation at home..... however when I am out.... general never had anyone complain etc.
.but always a remark look at this guy and his cigar...we are just in a pub.

I would say this is my experience, I don't generally smoke around others but if I do I get the impression that they think I'm trying to be flash, but that's not the case. We all enjoy our smokes and what's better than when having a drink with friends..

People that know me know I will sit in my garden and smoke or even when I'm doing the garden sometimes ..

And if that's what others think sod em I say 😂
