I just checked. I have 1 digital hygrometer thats +5% so it reads 5% more than it should at 70% RH at around 18 degrees C.

I would agree that 72 is probably too high for Tupperware. Definitely do a salt test on your hygrometer, iv never had one that's been bang on.
Has it just been one that's cracked when smoking or have you smoked a few that have? it could just be an anomaly

Stick your digital hygrometer and a boveda in a small ziploc bag for 12 hours and see what the reading is. Note any difference and then calculate what your actual rh is. Unless your bovedas are crispy rather that squishy I'd say your cigars are too wet.

Think this is just the current weather. I've just pulled out a fuente hemingway that was kept at 69%rh, had it outside for 15 mins where its currently 41%rh. Was cracked all over when I picked it up to smoke it. Wrapper is dry and brittle.
