Over the weekend I had a bit of a tidy up and a sort through of the collection. For some time I have been simplifying my collection down to the smokes I want/like and know I enjoy. This has been rewarding for me to remind myself how lucky I am to be a part of a great community that helps each other out in sharing knowledge, insights, and of course sticks!
My main collection is now loaded towards a few core marquee and vitolas- perhaps too narrow for some, but it works for me. Anyhow, amidst all this I was taken back to my first humidor, bought back in 1997. Over the years it has housed all sorts of sticks, from the simple to the exotic. And now it houses a neat sample of the CR's I've amassed.
In one of my favourite authors series of novels, there is a character who has a stash of CR cubans, and his colleagues are always trying to have them away! While I am gladly free of cigar snafflers, I have a great sense of personal contentment about the sight of this simple little well stocked humidor....
happy smokes, and long ashes BOTL's and SOTL's!
