Bigbarneyhotdog, what a good memory you have Yep I was begining to think I was the most 'anal' recorder of smoking stats but it seems I am no longer alone. I rate my cigars by 5 qualities: a combined (draw, ash, smoke), Favour (the most important for me), Value (was the cost balanced with the experience or better) Overall Satisfaction. I mark each out of ten & then dble for final score for cigar.
I have also worked out the amount smoked & the square of the amount actually smoked. This has changed a little as I used to leave around 2 3/4" but now it's nearer two unless it's exceptional & doesn't become bitter, then I have gone down to 1/2". However although the past cigars have this receorded when smoking a new vitola, I don't bother with this any more.
I think the value is important. I smoke Havanas from E1 to E28 but although I don't expect the same from a E5 stick as a E25 stick, I do expect to enjoy both & believe afterwards that the price was worth the experience, if not (duff stiks aside) I would not be enjoying it as much as if I thought it money well spent.
You show me yours Bwgan & I'll show you mine
