Two weeks ago I had to stop smoking a nice My Father Robusto premium cigar leaving about half unsmoked. So I thought I'd try infusing it with a nice Chocolate Liqueur, Bottega. I cut the foot and then placed it in tupperware with a small shot glass of the liqueur and left it for 2 weeks, and then I smoked it. And it actually was pretty good, I got a slight chocolate taste and a sweetness, more than the usually earthy and peppery profile. Any one else tried infusing?
I think this will work better for 1 month and on clean unsmoked cigars that are not premium, but this is a good way to save a good cigar you don't want to throw away and helps get rid of the ashy bitterness than often comes with a re-smoke.
