I don’t pay too much attention to the opinions down under for obvious reasons but considering this is the direction their business is moving in I believe they want to make good products. I’m sure every thing they do won’t be a success but at the price point it’s hard not to give them a shot.
Just lit one of these up, let’s see how it goes!

Opening was very strong, settled down after the first cm in to a lot of cream and nuts, very upmann but no caramel that people claim to get, hopefully that sweetness develops.
Medium bodied until the final third were it picked up quite a bit, stayed very smooth on the retro, no harshness or spice/pepper but definitely full bodied. Packed quite a punch, definitely one to smoke on a full stomach.
I’m quite a fast smoker I think, Robusto’s usually take me around 80 minutes. Smoking time on this was just over 1 hour 40 but it was windy so there were a couple of touch ups which probably knocked 10-15 min off.
Will let them rest for a month or so then try another.

Definitely eat first.
I'll try another in about a month. Didn't get any oily/cream either. But it certainly transitions.
Just had a report of another one that's hit home. A stunner apparently I live in hope.Last edited by ha_banos; 27-06-2023, 07:25 PM..--
I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

I have ordered every release of the Nudies since they were first introduced, and in my humble opinion every one of them has improved with resting time. Sure, there have been some inconsistencies in the same batch that I have smoked, but that could just as easily have been down to me in what I paired them with and how I was feeling at that moment in time. Have just ordered the lanceros

Tried the Canonazo last night, still very fresh for me and a bit unpleasant in places. Looks like brilliant construction and I have high hopes for them in a few months as some lovely flavours as well. Plenty of strength at the end so do watch out! May well end up putting these away for next summer

There are a whole heap of shapes and sizes coming through over the coming months!
My 2nd Canonazo was better. But won't try a third for a while now.
I wonder if they'll do samplers..--
