I’d probably split a box to give them a try but not much cheaper than RASS and D4’s so I can’t see them doing too well other than the fact they’re available in 10’s so makes boxes more affordable

Yes, confirmed short filler. They can keep them at those prices. They can keep the new PL as well. I'm tired of the prices they put on new regular production. And all the new stuff is Petit Robusto, Robusto, Robusto Extra and so on.

Yes, all the prices for new releases have been pretty high lately. Luckily there is some older regular production with decent prices available.

I'm a bit fed up that everything is PR, PE, Extra or above.... No new skinnies for ages. In fact, ERs aside, what was the last proper skinny that was introduced?

I don’t think there’s been anything apart from Quintero since the 90s

Yeah, I've given up hope. I'm really getting tired of this but I feel that HSA will stick to their current release portfolio for a few more years. The only thing that could make them change their minds would be if more and more skinny ERs would be released in the next few years. Maybe it would help them to realise that there's actually a market for them.

We can only hope. As long as the current regular production prices don’t increase drastically I’ll be happy.

I read on the down under stuff that there will be an increase of 3% on most things and 5% on Cohiba, Trinidad and 1 more marca

$75 is on the high side for these at European prices. Prices in France, Germany etc will be around the €40, $45 mark for a box of 10, 45chf in Switzerland. They are currently $32 in Beirut Duty Free. No Spanish price yet. They won't have a sensible price in the UK or Ireland due to tobacco duties calculated by weight, £12 - £15 each is the best to hope for.
But at $45 for a box of 10, they are very good cigars. I've smoked 4 so far, the wrappers on the ones I have have been lovely. Not terribly complex but I would choose one over just about any of the big non-Cuban brands. Look out for them when travel opens up. I think they'll be very popular in European airports, given that they're cheap and the packaging looks nice. The vast majority of airport buyers don't know the difference between short and long filler.

It's a good question, but some have gone under the radar. The Upmann Regalias and Majestics were relaunched as long fillers after being discontinued as short fillers about 2002. Both nice little cigars. Then there are the Noellas, came out in 2010, still being made. Until recently were some of the best value in Cuba at about $122 for the jar of 25.
Partagas Aristocrats, Habaneros, Mille Fleurs, Deluxe, Super Partagas. All relaunched as long filler this century and 42 or below.
Then there's Romeo y Julieta, plenty of them relaunched as long filler. As well as the Julietas being launched at 33rg.

The problem is, they fly under the radar because, to be honest, the majority of cigar buyers don't care about them. They're not sexy.

There probably is a gap in the market for a long panetela/Laguito No. 1. An El Rey del Mundo, or La Gloria Cubana 38 X 192 (Grandes de España type thing). But hard to produce at a profit and hard to market to American and Chinese buyers. The La Reina sold well, so maybe that might light a fire under them.
