  • Hoyo very old items

After having purchased some items in his shop, the owner took me upstairs to his living room and showed me this!

It concerns 2 different items, 1 kind of cabinet humidor and 1 large desktop humidor with 2 drawers.

Anyone is able to provide more information on this? Period, history, value?

The flat cases look like something a salesman might present.

Might be able to tell something from the cuban seal perhaps? https://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/pa...Warranty_Seals

      Lovely old pieces.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

PJ is right, they were originally carried around by salesman, complete ones like this would be very valuable, try collectors items.

Got any close ups or higher res of the front of the Hoyo cabinet? Might be able to age if we can tell what’s in it

Wow, these look pretty unique. Could definitely be worth a mint given some of the auctions these days.

True, but I’ve never seen this come up in auctions before

                      Wow these are definitely rare.

Hence why they haven't come up before.

How long has he had them for?

Take some good, clear photos & email to Robert Fox & he will give you a likely auction value. I know they aren't yours to sell but the owner might be interested to know. Might be a nice cash sum when he retires & sells the shop.

I don’t know how many years. The initial owner passed away 2 years ago, I think he had them in his possession for at least 50yrs

And once you do, I'd show the good photos to our mutual friend in Kortrijk, think he would be interested, even though they might be out of his reach. Sure would look good in his shop sized walk in. Did you get to see that?
