  • Cellophane...?

*Novice Alert* So I’ve had a MSS & a Cgars delivery today some of the cigars are in cellophane wrappers ... I’ve had a google about whether to store in cellophane or not and can’t get a straight answer ... for info sticks are temporarily stored in a large boveda bag & I’m planning to smoke them in the very near future ... what would you guys recommend?

    Leave it on

You'll soon get tired of decanting cigars from cello.... so leave them till you smoke em!

Besides they are boxed and stored in cello, so no harm. Esp short term.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Thanks guys ... already taken a couple off for a cheeky closer inspection ... the Alec Bradley Black Market Toro smells incredible despite being smaller than I imagined it would be!

There was an article in cigar journal suggesting to leave it on singles but remove if you have a box.

Cello is also porous and a plant derivative instead of plastic so humidity transfer etc still happens

Only real reason to take it off would be if you don’t like the look and it’ll soon get annoying taking each out. I would prefer everything cello wrapped if it could be

I keep them in the cellophane, it protects the wrapper and it also helps keep the smell of the cigar.

Take it off, take it off, take it off

Oh, you can keep the cello on if you want

Leave it on. It protects the cigar from damage and also means that the flavour of the stick isn't tainted by others around it

Another vote for leaving it on. As your collection grows (and it will), fumbling through a humidor of cello wrapped cigars, trying to reach the one at the bottom, is a lot less hassle than if they were naked.

stay at home to protect your cigars, smoke from home, unless you cant smoke from home. wash your cigars and save your cellopane ...20 seconds should do it.

Definitely leave them on especially for protection.
I wish all Cuban cigars still came in cellphone....

On a serious note I do usually leave them on, it saves the faff and provides protection... Smoke em, Enjoy em, that's the main thing
