Don't you need oxygen for the aging process to happen?

Wigan did it a few years ago, I can't remember if some of them were box pressed afterwards

Seen a lot of this about. I don't.

I've only had a few boxes of cigars and a load of singles for a long time up until fairly recently. Some of which I still have. These have lived in desktop humidors up till recent times. They have been on the whole great as I've dipped in!

Can't say to my knowledge I've ever tried a cigar that's been aged in a vacuum seal.

        Whose tried some?

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

Ive got some boxes going in vacuum sealed bags - I'll let you know in a few years . I think the box pressed stories come from being over zealous with the vacuum process. The few boxes that I have done this with have all been resting in the humidor for at least 6 months, before being sealed. In fact a couple of the boxes are coming up for their two year anniversary

Have you put Boveda pouches in with them ??

The sealed container they are all in has Boveda pouches - but nothing in the sealed bags themselves - hence why I mentioned previously making sure you have conditioned your cigars in a humidor first for at least 6 months

Imo it will stop the ageing process as no air getting to the cigar

I have never bothered, aging takes long enough as it is, there are those out there trying to age faster, why bother slowing it down? The only reason I can think of is say you buy 10 boxes of a ER & want them to taste similar & not fade before smoking box 8 & 9. But other wise beats me. Perhaps a better idea is vacumming htem once htey have reached perfection to your taste, to try & hold them in htat state untill you are ready to smoke them.

That’s the only reason I can see to, if you get a cigar in what you believe to be it’s sweet spot trying to keep it there as long as possible. Otherwise no I’ve not done it, I’ve not got cigars of an age that I’d want to slow down the process further.
