        Totalmene a mano!

I've never been. I think the seedlings are planted by hand as is the harvesting done by hand.

Its 40 hectares, so apparently that's about 23 football pitches?

OK Guys, I have been to this Finca! See my old blog on my first trip to Cuba. Yes, everything by hand. Fields are ploughed with oxen, they use A frames to punch the holes for the seedling to be set into & if you want to see machinery, you should have carried on & seen the next video https://www.facebook.com/10001154245...3626072032130/
I expect this purpose to this process is to ensure all the plants start from the same height & therefore should be more or less the same height when harvesting starts?
Yes it's a small farm but remember, they are only growing the wrapper (well mostly), not leaves for the whole cigar.

Back breaking work for the farmers I'm sure. Makes me appreciate more just what goes into creating the cigars we enjoy.
