Had a wonderful 2018 Wide Churchill today, perfect draw, burn and ash, with lovely creamy smoke and cherry and sweet cedar flavours, one hour and fifty minutes of bliss, my best smoke of the summer.
A fantastic AF Anejo 888, beautiful and elegant looking with superb construction, produced a striking white ash contrasting nicely with the dark almost oscuro wrapper, with nice sweet and fragrant spice flavours. Better value than similar priced Opus Xs and very similar flavour profile, arguably the cognac aged in wrapper adds a bit more complexity and zing.
A guy on IG, DutchCigars was doing a challenge and so decided to see if I could do it. Surprisingly hard when you are at the band to keep the cigar lit but its worth a go, slight change in taste and I'm sure overall not the best for me but hey its something different.
Had a very impressive Party Mad 2 yesterday. Great construction with a nice draw, thick creamy smoke and an endless ash that I had to eventually break off. Had a slight burn issue, one side needed some help a couple of times. Flavours were nice but more mild than I was expecting, sweet woods with some dark chocolate notes.
