Quick trip to Reims

MrsB and I are off to Reims for a few days of champagne tasting, without our son who has gone to stay with my parents for a week.

Looking forward to a bit of us time after four months of us all being at home.

Took longer to pick my cigars than it did my clothes.

We are keeping a careful eye on the news and will head back early if we need to.

We had a lovely, but slightly shortened trip. There was zero social distancing in Reims and at times we felt quite uncomfortable with it. On Wednesday night with the threat of a quarantine looming, we decided to head back early on Thursday. Hindsight turned out to be right!

Really enjoyed sitting on the terrace at the hotel smoking some cigars and trying new champagnes. We also visited Pommery, Mumm, Boizel amongst others, and stocked up at the fantastic champagne shop near the Cathedral. We told the guy who owns it what champagnes we liked and he made a whole host of suggestions for us - and then delivered it all to the hotel.

Came back with a boot full of bottles, enough to keep us going for a year or so.

Those will wash down the Champoo nicely, looks like a great time!
