In terms of UK pricing there's not a lot...

Personally I'm not big on the smaller cubans (ERdM Demi Tasse, HdM de Maire.) JLP PC can be lovely, but can be shit.

In that price range I would go for a NC, you'll probably get more bang for your buck, there'll be more consistency and fewer draw problems.

Around ?5 is the Oliva Serie G Robusto. (Though this probably isn't value as they're much less online)

Not easy to find a largish smoke for under a fiver in the UK. But, La Rica Corona Tubos at 4.90 are OK. I wouldn't say they are top quality, but they are good and about the best you're going to get on home turf for the money
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

I had a RyJ Petit Julieta at the weekend and was very impressed! Wasn't expecting great things from a smaller cigar but it gave me a highly enjoyable half an hour.

It's the only one I've ever had so I've no idea how consistently good they are - only ?4 each from Fox's.

Do you like the Balmoral range then? I find them t be tasteless, and like cardboard.

Maybe you could review one if you smoke them?

Punch Margaritas & Ramon Allones Ramonitas are both available for under ?5.

I have had more of the latter than the former - all singles rather than boxes - and never had draw problems with either, nor with Monte Joyitas which are the same size (but > ?5). Thin cigars such as these aren't to everyone's taste & do have a bit of a reputation for tightness, but I think you should definitely at least try them, rather than stick solely to the larger NC's available in this price range as they'll give you a little taste of Cuba.

CGars has the Punch on their website but not the RA's, although I'm sure if you ask Mitch or Mish they will probably be able to source them for you as they're on the CGars-owned Robert Graham's Whisky site.

The Ramonitas is very good, but one third of my box has a very tight draw, and I have already encountered 2 cigars that were 100% unsmokable?
