So I was watching a Fritz Lang film last night (The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, 1933), and I saw something I thought rather strange--one of the characters was smoking a cigar through a holder. I had to double take; I've seen many cigarette holders, but never a cigar holder. Anyone heard of or tried this?

Cigar Holders?

George Burns, one of the most famous and iconic cigar smokers in recent history used a cigar holder most of his life, apparently prompted to do so by his wife Gracie.
Never liked the plastic tips myself and even back in the Old Port days I bought the "naked" variety although many folk bought cigars with the attached "holders". Most older smokers in the USA will remember the "Cigars, Cigarettes, Tiparillos" ads.Commander Bob
