I speak to a lot of people on here via comet etc, Jibjob, satch, skyhigh, eggy, saggel , rokkit and loads more. I just wanted to comment on 2 friends that really make this place home for me. Firstly Mark (Boss Hogg) we chat on skype quite a lot, we have similar interests and we frequently swap cigars, he has even gone so far as to pick up some Davidoffs for me from his holiday in New York.

The second is Mike, what can i say that you guys dont already know. Again we chat on skype, but Mike logs on every single morning to check im ok (going through a rough patch at the moment) We are talking 5am some days, as soon as i log into skype here at work he is messaging me.

The things he has sent me over the last year are far too many lol, and he only asks for friendship back, what else can i say, hes a true Botl.

Im going to hug a tree now as Cat suggested.

I believe El Gato is just like Cartman; angry on the outside, wanting the S/BOTL love on the inside. It's alright Gato, we see ya.

On an equally non-serious note, the other day I was strolling along with my wife and she literally hugged a tree. I wanted to say something about cliches and such, but I kept my mouth shut. It was in fact a pretty cool tree.

I'll bet we traveled at least 4 miles from shop to shop to restaurant and down to Time Square. This was a meeting of guys who only chat on the internet and it was like we grew up together. Man I can tell you this The day was far from boring. And wish there were more hours in that day. The one thing that really stuck in my head (Hard to believe) was Boss picking up a 3 pack of Chubby's from Davidoffs for one of the UK BOTL. So with this said B/SOTL
Don't ever give up the right to smoke cigars.
Oh yes. we had a great day. Midtown cigars, Davidoff and down to Barclay Rex for a smoke in their shop.
Our very own "Non Cuban Cigar Walk of New York" (I think that idea could catch on!)
I'll post full details of the day in a few days when I get home.

                A noob chips in

Despite my limited UKCF experience, I couldn't agree with you all more.

I've been smoking cigars for many years, but only recently decided to stop fannying about and get a decent humidor and smoke what I like when I like (It's apparently my mid life crisis)
I've got nothing but insightful, helpful, friendly advice from all concerned on every query I've posted.

I'm a member of many forums for design/photography/Macs etc, but this is honestly the only forum I've ever been involved in that feels like a community of like minded, real people who actually talk sense without trying to one-up each other with stories of their greatness.

Hope I can also bring something to the party over time.

Viva la BOTL, Viva la UKCF

P.S Bloody amazing picture Lee, where on earth are you going to keep that?

Was introduced to cigars by my mate of 25years mackem Keith and loved em first one was a bolivar but can't remember which one hence the newbie status, however that first cigar was the strongest most relaxing cigar I've had in my short smoking career however with Keith donating me his first humi and a few cigars I think I'm well on the way to unearthing some fantastic delights and thanks to sky for some lovelies to oooo and with the lads and lasses on here it just makes it all the more enjoyable and the learning curve is unreal.......and then my newbie awards put a little wry smile on face while at work...... Love it
