  • Cigar Snob Magazine

Not sure if anyone's ever mentioned this before but I got a copy of the above magazine when a mate brought some cigars back from Florida earlier this year.

There's loads of cigar porn and the odd pretty lady too.

You can read the entire copy of each months issue on their website.....

    www.cigarsnobmagazine.com

    PS
Apologies to anyone who may already have highlighted this.

First time for me mate, and after looking through it on line it seems like a decent mag...

    Liked pages 48 to 59...

Had a quick look through the first 25 pages. 16 were advertising. Oh well, spose they have to pay the bills somehow but I'll give them credit for the eye candy.
What would I know? I'm just a backwoods roo packin crim from New Holland! LOL. (Thankyou El Cat)

Same with the watch magazines I subscribe to... Though not for the academic journals (though this being nearly five times the price however.).

Only problem I have with the website is that you can't zoom in enough to read without straining your eyes.

Oh, what's that?... I'm not supposed to be reading it... Just looking at the pictures... That's where I was going wrong then!

Good spot Gordon - I particularly liked the article about old style cigar categories.

Not bad looking mag, great production (although not may taste) and probably a good reflection of a thriving scene over in NC land

I wonder how many of the rated sticks are also advertisers, hope I am not sounding too cynical

Probably you need to subscribe/part with some cash to get the full res electronic version.

It is a shame about the Cuban embargo, as unlike Cigar Aficionado, this magazine lacks the full breadth of cigars for that well balanced objective read.

Nice link (even if it's fixated with NC's)

Personally, I found pages 52/53 to be the most thought provoking.
Gave me a 'crick' in the neck though.

                          Thanks for the link!

Looks like a nice mag. It's a shame the online version is in such low quality but I suppose thats to encourage you to buy the mag.

Adverts are love/hate things. As a designer I love seeing how each company tries to sell it's brand/cigar via a single page. Although I agree you'd be disappointed if you bought a mag and it had no articles whatsoever.

I'm also a bit of a cigar advert fan. I like the adverts in CA (though sometimes think that there may be just a couple too many...) Maybe, now that we live in a tobacco advertising free country, it's the wanting what you can't have thing.

Come to think of it, would it even be legal for a UK produced cigar magazine to be published? You certainly wouldn't get any adverts to keep it going...
