A slightly strange question for you to ponder. I'll ask first...then I'll explain

What do you fine people think is the smokiest cigar available. I'm talking about a 'gar you can light, set down in an asktray, and smoke out a whole room with the frigger, without even toking on it. So what do you guys think?

Now the explanation: I'm planning a little still life photo project for myself, and it needs a cigar, sat in an ashtray, with plenty of smoke coming off it. I will then, of course, smoke the blighter too

I have never seen more smoke than from one of the hand rolled darlings produced by the Cuban roller who is in town at the moment. He is at the festival of speed over the weekend. Let me know if you want me to buy you one and post it out, They usually run out between ?15 and ?18 each.

I find the cohiba maduro 5's to be very smokey whether the secretos, magicos or genios and they are a great looking smoke too!

You need to light any cigar and put it in the ashtray, and get a mate to smoke one heavily in the same room for you to make it smokey whilst you do your work.

i find the Nub Habano 466 gives off the most smoke i've encountered yet, probably because of the big 66 ring gauge.

why not just backlight the subject? i studied fine and applied arts at university, specialising in lens based media (photography, film, sound), and i really liked the atmospheric look of film noir movies!!! i bought this book years ago, where i learned how to do what you're talking about!!!! it doesn't matter if you light a bonfire in the room or a fine cigar, unless you have the lighting set up right, you'll not capture the smoke!!!
