Pulled a lurvely CAO Gold robusto out of the humi this evening and went to snip the tip only to notice that it looked like someone had satten upon it; end was sadly, badly, seriously mashed. Cut it anyway. Dismal failure. Shredding tobacco left and right and the wrapper started to unfurl.
Hmmm....
Knew that if I cut it again, it would only make the situation worse and didn't want to shorten this already short fellow even more.
Hmmm...
So as I'm looking at this 'gar it occurs to me that the other end looks perfectly fine. Why not just...
And that's what I did: Lit the shredded tip and smoked the stogie ass backward.
Tasted just fine and smoked like a dream all the way to the end.
And why shouldn't it? It's the same tobacco end-to-end. What difference should it make which way we smoke it?
Which brings up the question of why do we smoke 'em the way we do instead of making use of an already perfectly-cut end?
Opinions?
