I am, but only because it brings the possibility of PR into the fold. Also, I believe a coalition government is less likely to push through so many oppressive laws like Labour did. Maybe I'm naive though.

I think to be fair the Con-Lib coalision is the only one which would have worked in order to obtain a true majority. Lib-Lab would have neeed the support of the other minority parties to form a majority and I think that would of crumbled just as fast as it was agreed.

The voting public in both FPTP and PR gave the Tories the largest number of seats and votes so I think it is only right they should be part of the sitting government as that is what the majority of the UK public voted for.

I think the idea of a fixed term of 5 years is for the Libs benefit as they will have influence during this period as part of the coalision. Plus it is likely that they would not be part of any new goverment after the next election so thay are maximising their position while they can.
