A friend sent me a gift box of Padron cigars. And I enjoyed the different sizes. The 1964 Anniversay series box-pressed Maduro Corona was smooth with a cup of coffee, while I banged away on the keyboard posting more satirical pieces on my international weblog. If your are interested in the macrocosm, foreign affairs, or microcosm, the streets just google my name Edmund Onward James.

Padron? Very nice. Very nice indeed. Especially the maduros. For a more detailed explanation just Google Padron.Business in the front. Party in the back.

I smoked my second 1964 Family Reserva Maduro on Tuesday. Once again a nice smoke but nothing special, clearly does not rock my world the way it does for some.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these

I always liked the Padrons when young, the 2000, 3000 and Delicias were quite tasty if a bit "hot" due to a loose roll. They just needed some TLC when smoking. They don't age very well, however and I'm quite disappointed by the 8-10 year old smokes that remain in my collection.
The Aniversarios have aged a bit better but then there started out with much richer flavours and a tad more strength.
The 5 yo 6000 Piramides are still smoking well and I'm trying to get through them in case they go the way of the others.Commander Bob
